HENRI FAYOL
Henri Fayol was one of the most important contributors to the classical approach to management.
He was born in Istanbul, the
29 of July, in 1841. His life was very intense because he lived the consequences of the Revolution Industrial and
later, the First World War. But despite he was
one of the most influential contributors to modern concepts of management, and is often referred to as the true father of Strategic
management.
Fayol leave to the actual generations something that
many considerate essential for de management.
The functions of management, he Saied
that in all organizations you have to forecast, organize command or direct and finally
coordinate. All that to permit to you own system work well. Apart of the
functions he also establishes the concept of Principles of management. Are
these maybe the heart of his theory. Division of work, Authority, Discipline, Unity of command, Unity of
direction, Subordination of individual interests to the general interest, Remuneration,
Centralization,
Scalar,
chain, Order, Equity, Stability of tenure of personnel Initiative and Esprit de corps.
